Cousin T's YouTube Tour-Part Two

For a long time I thought it would be somethin' special to write your own music for one of them mechanical band organs like you see at the fair. Well, this fella John Linnell went ahead and did that. As far as I can tell the song does not have much to do with Illinois and it seems to have even less to do with mutiny but the octopus has the right idea. You would need a bunch of arms to play something like this.

Margie: Edna, do you think I should explain to Cousin T what this video is about? Remember when the library sent me to Illinois on business and I met another librarian named Jeffrey? Octopus would describe him perfectly. Well, it actually describes his hands.

Edna: Margie, no one here wants to listen to any of your salacious stories. Besides, I think this video is open to interpretation; you just leave the boy alone, I like this one a lot. Thank you for bringing this one by the basement, Cousin T!

terocious, thanks for picking this video for the ladies to feature here. I love TMBG and Waverly Flams, so this was a double treat for me. :D

Keep 'em coming! :)

Hey, I thought I would take the oppurtunity to communicate with both of you on an old blog post.

I think of you two a lot and on four days a week I get to read you. I am undergoing an offline odyssey that has me feeling as though I am writing to the two of you from war. The conflict is my buisness and growing it despite it all. In our circle of friends I am lucky because, as I said, I get to drop by here and see ya.

Sorry to be such an internet Ghost Story. Watching the basement grow has been thrilling. You are striking a really nice balance between developing the mythology and a free flow of thought.

Your cousin,
-B. Terocious

Dear Cousin T/Barry,

You are most brave to communicate via an old blog post, given that we may not even have seen your comment until a lot of time had gone by. I only noticed you'd left a note because our stats showed someone with an "unusual" interest in this particular post. ;) In a way, though, I'm glad you picked this one, as it's one of my favorites.

We think of you a lot too, and as always, we hope things are going well for you, both online and off. I pop into your blog from time to time and I'm enjoying your developments there. Although real life is never easy, my wish for you is that your business struggles smooth out. You are a smart man with a lot of heart, and I think you will be able to overcome all obstacles.

Speaking for Jane as well, we have both very much enjoyed having you and Cousin T frequent the blog. Cousin T is a nice young man, if a little dim, but his heart is in the right place. ;) He is also a good foil for the ladies, and a comedic genius in his own right. We thank you for your kind words about the blog, as well. You are one of the few who were there with us at the beginning, and have stayed with us, and we are forever grateful and humbled.

And no need to apologize for being a stranger, everyone understands busy. Feel free to pop in and comment whenever you want to or are able. You (and Cousin T) always have a spot here at the Basement. The best thing about family is that they always leave a light on for you. :)
