Margie: Edna and I are a little prone to ruminate about the 1920's. Maybe it's because we heard Mama and Daddy talk about them so much. Well, Edna was born in the 20's so I guess that's why she's partial to them.
Anyway, I wanted to share the 20's with you. There was TV, Don Juan, movies, wonderful books, and plenty of fashion. Check this out.

Edna: Margie, you were born in the 1920s too, you spiteful harpy. A few years BEFORE I was, too, if I recall correctly.
Wow, a very interesting video and very informative. I love that flapper necklace too. Can I borrow yours?
Margie: Edna, see how you overreact to any little thing I say?
Poetic, you look like a flapper so you can borrow the necklace. I'll send a Margiedale over to you for delivery.
Thank you and rest assured me and the Margiedale will be "flapping away" all weekend.
I must have the 20's in me, I really like the clothing and jewelry. Oh I know the drinking in the cellars and I want beer signs. However I think we should have learn something about the economy and the stock market from the era. History repeats itself, you know.
Ladies, don't flap with each other now!! How can you fuss when you have those glorious Margiedales for company? You should be having one of your notorious house parties and cutting a rug!!!
I'm a vintage film historian (among other things), specializing in American silent cinema, so this was a fun little journey through familiar terrain. I just want to say I immediately knew the name of every actress they showed, and the first thing I thought was, "They left out Clara Bow, Lillian Gish and Constance Talmadge!" I bet even Margie and/or Edna couldn't say that! :)
