We've come to our final Fillion Friday for a while. But don't be sad, dear readers! Castle is coming back on Monday September 19th and we get to have brand new Nathan for a spell. Needless to say, we are very excited. Watch the clip below to bring you up to speed in time for the season premiere.
Also, if you want to see Nathan talk about his descent into becoming a crazy cat person, head on over here for his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live this past Monday.

Final Fillion Friday
Friday, September 9, 2011
The people have spoken...Nathan is awesome!
As we continue to count down to September 19th, the Castle season 4 premiere, we've got a bit of a link roundup for this Fillion Friday.
First, it should come as no surprise to anyone that Nathan was named the 6th most popular star on primetime television by Entertainment Weekly!
However, we'd much rather read TV Guide, who ranked Nathan 2nd among the top 10 actors on television. (Behind Jennifer Aniston, we can only assume most of the poll respondents were men. I guess we shouldn't be too annoyed, Castle was ranked #6 in their top shows list.)
Also (spoiler alert!), you can head over here to check out some on-set photos of Nathan and the Castle crew filming for the new season.
Finally, Nathan is going to be a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday Sept. 12th (12am EST/11PM Central). You know we'll be tuning in with our popcorn popped and special tea at the ready.

Fillion Friday: Castle!
Edna: Our readers should know by now what big Nathan/Castle fans Margie and I are. We're so excited for the season premiere on Sept. 19th, I can't even tell you.
I just couldn't resist poking around the interwebs for some sneak previews, and I found this one I want to share with you all. Margie refuses to watch it, she says she wants to be surprised when she watches the first episode of the season. I told her to grow up, there's nothing surprising in this clip if you've been watching all along, but she wouldn't listen. Muttered some nonsense about going to talk to her new Margiedales. Well that's just fine, I'd rather watch my Nathan in peace anyway.
Enjoy!

Fillion Fridays are back!
Fillion Fridays have returned due to popular demand (okay, the demands were from the two of us, but still). We enjoyed them so much before that we don't know why we stopped doing them in the first place!
Today's Fillion Friday is more of a "Flashback Fillion Friday". Some of you probably remember how adorable Nathan was back in the 90s when he was on "One Life to Live." For those of you who never saw him on the show, take a look below, he was a cutie-pie for sure.

We love the Science Channel
Margie: The Science Channel is starting to run Firefly (it's premiering Sunday March 6th at 8PM EST and will air every Sunday night). My tushie will be on the couch and I'll be taping Edna's mouth shut!
Edna: You'd best stay away from me, woman! I'll be trying to enjoy some quality television, so I will be too busy to talk to the likes of you. Now where's my brown coat?

Firefly and Fillion
Margie: Apparently fans are mobilizing to help Nathan Fillion raise funds to buy the rights to Firefly. Have at it, folks!
Edna: Margie, you'd best dig into your coin purse. This sounds like a cause we can get behind!

Kids Need to Read!
Margie: Edna and I have decided to make this Nathan Fillion Week. Lordy, I'd love to have him visit my basement. What a hunk!
Don't mind me because I want to tell you how sweet my Nathan is. He is the co-founder of Kids Need To Read. What's it all about?
"Kids Need to Read is a national nonprofit foundation that promotes childhood literacy and addresses the crisis in library funding that currently exists in the United States. Donating inspiring, new books to schools, public libraries, juvenile offender facilities, dropout recovery programs, urban afterschool organizations, and special education classes, the foundation works to develop a lifelong love of reading and an awareness of social responsibility in all children."
Edna: Margie and I both support anything that furthers childhood literacy, and it was a pleasant surprise to find out that Mr. Fillion does as well. Please take a minute to visit the site and find out all about this wonderful charity. Thank you.

Fall TV is here!
Margie: Sister, I don't think his face is all you like. Floozy. Maybe I will help then I'll be in the hospital where I'll have a TV all to myself.

Fillion Friday: Captain Tightpants
Edna: All right folks, I promise this will be the last Fillion Friday. I just couldn't let them go completely without one more installment.
You know, I'd heard people talking for years about Captain Tightpants and the TV show Firefly, but I've never watched it before until recently. NOW I see what all the fuss was about! This was the show whose fans rallied after its cancellation to get closure for the series, ultimately resulting in the movie Serenity (and giving hope to Jericho fans everywhere). From now on, you can call me Edna "Browncoat" Callahan.
Quite frankly, I'm surprised Margie hasn't stolen my Firefly dvds yet, considering it has Nathan Fillion and cowboys (two of her favorite things). Granted, they're space cowboys, but still. Take a gander at this fan-made video below and enjoy.

Fillion Friday: Slither
Edna: My sister may be ready to move on from Fillion Fridays, but I'm not just yet. A few weeks ago I sent Margie on along to the Ladies Auxiliary meeting while I stayed home "sick." Cousin T snuck over to the house with a copy of Slither on DVD, because Margie doesn't like watching horror movies, the big baby. Well, I say what she doesn't know won't hurt her.
Now folks, if you haven't seen this movie before, it's not for the faint of heart. Or for the faint of stomach. My lands, Cousin T heaved up his lunch at least twice before the movie was over, poor thing. I sent him home with a box of Saltines, but he kept calling me all night long, talking some nonsense about killer garden slugs.
One of the things that made this movie redeemable was Mr. Nathan Fillion and his law enforcement uniform:

Fillion Friday: Captain Hammer
Edna: As much as it pains me to admit this, Margie had a great idea last week with the first "Fillion Friday." He's someone we both enjoy a lot, so today I'm sharing with you all a video clip from his performance in Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. My lands, if you haven't seen that yet, do yourself a favor and go get the DVD! That cute boy who used to be Doogie Howser is in it too, and he has quite a set of pipes on him. So does Mr. Fillion, and he does a great job being a larger-than-life superhero with a larger-than-life ego. Enjoy!

Fillion Friday
Margie: Edna can tell you how I despise television commercials and I may even refuse to watch a show with too many of them. There's always an exception and this hot commercial is it. Trust old Margie, if I say it's hot then it's hot.
I really need to talk to Nathan Fillion. We could sit in our swing on the porch and watch Fireflies. Tell him to call me.
By the way, guess whose lovely, shapely legs they used in this commercial? Watch closely now.
