I've been to Hawaii about twenty times over the years but didn't visit the Pearl Harbor memorial till about my tenth visit. It is quite impressive and poignant.
During a recent visit to Oahu, I went to Punchbowl to see the graves of two dear friends from my youth. That also is a very touching spot.
My father fought and received a purple heart in the war and there were many times he could not even talk about his experience. When he did spek of it, it was very difficult for him. I visited the memorial and it was a heartbreaking moment. Thanks for remembering this day.
Margie and Edna are two elderly sisters, the oldest (and nosiest) residents of the fictional town of Jericho, KS. They are also the brainchildren of Jane and Beth, two “Jericho” fans who clearly needed a creative outlet. Margie and Edna are the result.
