Fun Friday: Edna gets artistic

Edna: For this Fun Friday, I would like to share one of my favorite artists with you, Mr. Maxfield Parrish. Every time I look at one of his illustrations, I just want to jump right in there and dream for a while.

This one is called "Hilltop." Can't you just picture yourself resting under that tree and looking out at the mountains? I sure can.

That is a breathtaking picture! I've never heard of him before, but I'll have to check out more of his work. He is amazing! I can almost smell the fresh, clean air and hear the birds chirping contentedly. Thanks for sharing this!

At one time, I went to school up in the mountains.

If you can handle the cold, it is one of the most scenic places I've ever experienced.

He's my favorite too. I have Twilight framed and one of a farmhouse at dusk. Both posters from the Brandywine River Museum in Chaddsford where they have some of his work along with other illustrators.
