Dear Friends...

Dear Friends,

We've had some sadness come to the Basement recently. Jane's beloved nephew has been very sick for a while now, and this weekend he took a turn for the worse. It's going to be rough sailing for a bit, and I'll be taking over the blogging duties on my own for the foreseeable future. Jane and I both appreciate your patience, and I know she'd like it if you'd send positive thoughts her way for her nephew and his children.

Thank you all for your support, and please, keep dropping by. I will post updates as I have them, and I'll be doing my best to keep up some kind of posting schedule on my own until Jane feels that she's able to be "Margie" again.

Love,
Beth (aka "Edna")

My nephew passed away last night. He was 34 and leaves 2 young children. He's the love of my life.

Jane, I am so sorry and deeply saddened for you and your family. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Though he is no longer with you in the physical sense, he is with you forever in your heart. It is so difficult but staying strong for the children is most important now. And, take care of yourself. If you need anything, just to talk or otherwise, I'm here. Love, Jo

Thank you, Jo. Chris had severe MS so we're glad he's no longer bedridden and suffering.

It is sad when a loved one passes. Just remember the suffering is now ended. My mom had cancer and when she was gone it came as a relief, Her suffering was also gone. Your heart will still be sad as ours was.The concentration needs to be placed on the children. He is now in them. Love them and you will be still loving him.
I am so very sorry for you.
