National Railroad Month

Margie: Edna, did you know that November is National Model Railroad Month? I bet Cousin T feels like celebrating. That boy sure loves a train.

Edna, did I ever tell you about my time in the caboose? Oh, never mind, you'll just call me a floozy. Do you like trains?

Edna: Oh, I love trains! There's nothing like the sound of a train whistle--do they even have whistles any more? Toot toot!

Margie, maybe we should buy Cousin T a model train engine for his collection. He has quite a setup out in his tool shed. We could get him an engineer's cap, too.

Margie: Edna, have you been in the Special tea again? Go in your room and toot.

That's a great idea. He'd love the cap and we could have his name put on it.

Edna: All aboard!

I want to hear more about that tea and the caboose. I didn't know it was National Railroad month. Thanks for the info. I have a brother who collects trains and has for years. I'll have to buy him something for his collection this month. Thanks ladies :)

I am with you, Jo...I would like to know about that tea. Maybe we have it out here. We have to get Margie and Edna to visit and we can take them to that Chinese place near your house with the sperm desserts!

I like trains - would love to do a cross country trip in one when I win the lottery and can go FIRST class.

I love traveling by train. There's something so romantic about it, like being in an Agatha Christie novel or something, lol.
Btw, have an award for you gals over at my blog. :)

Margie: If you ladies want to know about Special tea and the caboose then you have to come visit the basement. Bring extra clothes because a glass of our tea will knock you into next week.
You folks are nuts if you think I'd eat that dessert. If I'd wanted young'uns I'd have had them years ago.

I hain't never taking it off.

I am going to sleep in it!

A true to life embroidered train conductors cap the likes of which I thought I would never own.

You two are just too good to me.

Rail transport, especially electrified rail, is much more efficient, and less damaging to the environment, than transportation by car or truck. It can help to dramatically reduce energy use and carbon emission. Even better, it's a win/win scenario for the economy, the environment and the fight against global warming.

I agree with Edna. Trains are wonderful! The best and most romantic way to travel!
