Edna's Halloween-y Fun Friday

Edna: Ladies and gentlemen, I feel I really must apologize for my sister's behavior lately. I don't know what's gotten into her, what with all her talk of "Margiedales" and locking handsome men in our basement and whatnot. I swan, sometimes I think the pharmacist must be swapping out her iron pills for hormone pills! Well, in honor of the upcoming holiday and since it's MY Fun Friday, I'm sharing a little family-friendly entertainment today.

Note to all you handsome men out there: if you see my sister coming, you'd best turn tail and run the other way because she is plumb out of her floozy gourd right now.

National Dog Week is the 4th week of September every year. Okay, we're a little late. We didn't want to ignore the poor dogs though.

Take your dog for a walk, buy them some ice cream, give them hugs and kisses, and tell them how much they're loved. If you aren't doing this all the time then you should be. Don't forget their birthday either.

Edna's Cruisin' Fun Friday

Edna: Hello dear readers! Thanks to the wireless amenities on board ship, I get to blog my Fun Friday for you all even though I'm miles away from civilization. Today I thought I'd share a little video with you that the fellow in the cabin next to mine made the other day when we left port. You'd better turn your speakers down so you don't scare the pets, it's a bit loud.

P.S., That's me blowing the horn on our cruise ship. The captain is such a sweetheart, he lets me up onto the bridge any time I want!

Once again, it's time for Fun Friday here at the Basement.

Edna: This may surprise some of you readers out there, but in my younger days I was a bit of a feather-brained flibbertigibbet. I simply had a lot of thoughts to express, so I talked--a lot--to everyone. (Well, Margie still complains that I talk too much, but then she's usually complaining about something so I barely even listen to her anymore. I'd advise you all to do the same). I've mellowed some in my old age, but I still have some days where the thoughts get to a-whirlin' around in my head. When that happens, I've just got to do something to calm down, or "center" myself (as those new-agey hipsters like to say).

When I get so that I can't even hear myself think, I sit down, close my eyes, and take a listen to this song. It never fails to remind me of who I really and truly am, deep down inside. I wanted to share it with you all today, I surely do hope that when you listen to it, it calms and soothes you as much as it does me.
