Frosty Fridays

Photobucket

Margie: Edna, do you remember when Daddy told us we should always plan ahead? If our power went out right now we'd be fine even though it's cold. I even heard the weatherman say something about snow.

Valentine's Day is coming soon and that makes me think about warm things like roses, chocolate, and hot tubs. Do you think I should add a warm body to my wish list? I wish Valentine's Day was here already because I'm cold.

Edna:  Margie, even in the face of bitter winter cold, do you still have to think like a floozy?  That's not what Daddy meant about planning ahead, and you know it!

But if you're wishing for a warm body, make sure he brings in enough wood to keep the stove going for at least a week.  That fire isn't going to feed itself.

Margie: Edna, you should probably plan on going somewhere warm that week. Maybe you could go see the Biddy's.

Or would you like for me to find you a warm body? You'll sure never get one on your own.

Edna:  Margie, I've got a warm body part right here you can kiss, so pucker up!

Groundhog Day

Edna:  Whose bright idea was it to let this guy predict the weather?

Photobucket

Edna:  Margie does a much better job figuring out how much longer winter will last, but her method involves a lot of special tea and "private consultations" with the Margiedales.  Plus, she's not nearly as cute as Phil here, although she was nearly as hairy before she got those laser treatments.

Happy Groundhog Day, everyone!  Let's hope he has the answer today that everyone wants to hear.

Winter frolics

Edna:  When winter gives you lemons, you make lemonade.  So, go find yourself a willing partner and go ice skating.  Then go drink your frozen lemonade.  It helps to add a shot of whiskey.

Fun Friday: Hoodie-Hoo

Photobucket

Margie: Friends, you all know how Edna insults me and hurts my feelings. She's always calling me names and being hateful. Well, here's how a good sister acts. I spent my own money and bought Edna a ticket to Jericho's Chocolate and Dessert Festival. It's true. I didn't swipe her credit card or take the money off her dresser.

All I ask in return is for Edna to do me one small favor. I want her to go outside at noon, wave her hands over her head, and shout, "Hoodie-Hoo." That's all.

Not only should that send winter away but Edna's screeching and her bird legs showing should drive the townfolks into laughter like they've never seen. Everybody in town will have a happy day.

By the way, Hoodie-Hoo Day is a copyrighted holiday.

We surely do hope that everyone is staying warm during these cold days of winter. Bundle up, folks!
